Paris Pandemonium

Arrived in Paris after a LONG haul flight, picked up the Peugeot 308 with a whopping 2.5 km on the clock, and headed off on the wrong side of the road (which is the right side here so all was good).  Nothing like jumping into the deep end with the driving - Paris just happened to have a train strike on our arrival so the roads were PACKED with angry drivers and one jet-lagged, still-finding-his-feet driver.  Managed to stay on the wrong/right side of the road without incident until right at the end of our journey into Paris when I clipped my right mirror - only damage was my pride.  Our first AirBnB experience was a very nice apartment in Vincennes.  It also had a quaint little courtyard which, if the weather had been better, would have been very nice for a soothing ale or two but Lea enjoyed some time out there with her coffee/cigarette combos.

We had 3 nights in Paris and it took until the last day until we made it to the city centre. We never seemed to get too much further than the local tabac around the corner.. well they did serve good coffee, Leffe beer and rose.

Here is the Tour de l'Horloge on our way to find the gothic Sainte Chapelle.

And here is Lea posing in front of the gates of the Palais de Justice de Paris with the Sainte Chapelle  and its spectacular spire in the background - c'est manifique!

Next stop Rouen...
